Application Eligibility
Each applicant must:
- Be a graduating senior enrolled at North Point High School located in Charles County, Maryland
- Possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher based on a 4.0 scale.
- Be accepted for full-time study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university and provide proof of acceptance.
Selection Criteria
1. Applicants must submit a sealed official high school transcript.
2. Applicants must submit two (2) letters of recommendation. One must be from a teacher or guidance counselor.
3. Applicants must submit a 250-500 word essay discussing one of the following topics:
a. Who has most influenced your academic journey and how?
b. In what way have you demonstrated a commitment to community service?
c. Describe your future plans and how your college education will support you in achieving your goals.
4. Applicants must submit the complete, signed, and dated application (including transcripts, letters of acceptance, and letters of recommendation) by regular mail to the contact address. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please proofread your application package prior to submission.
5. Applicants must use the official Scholarship Application.
6. The application package must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2025.
